Inigo Kennedy The Power Of Ten ASY010 (Asymmetric) 12" (October 2002) |
|
"Opa! Que faixa é essa? Deve ser a coisa mais pesada que eu toco nesse momento. Uma batida reta e uns sons de algo que o Inigo deve ter desenterrado de algum colecionador de synths em algum lugar de Londres gritando, grunindo e se distorcendo. Daí vem uma paradinha e tudo começa a ficar maluco outra vez!" www.spiceee.com |

"Shuddering drums and dark textured ambience obviously influenced by Aphex Twin, except too loopy, underdeveloped and not doing nearly enough for me. A lot of these tracks sound like two inconsequential pieces of tracks laid on top of each other. A really quite gorgeous ambient drift is married with relentless thundering noise. I know this contrast is intentional but for me it only really works at the end of B1 and then only just. This is a sound that he has cultivated though and if you are a fan you will definitely be into this. There are also four loops including one of a track from number nine that could be useful for all you deckwreckers." Overload Media |

"Conspicuous by his absence for a while now, Kennedy blasts back with a splendid EP of rock hard futuristic dancefloor techno and locked grooves. A1 grinds out textured chords and heavy beats, A2 (my favourite) is an awesome belting stomper with crazy synth patterns, HEAVY bass and a fantastic hook, B1 is an experimental dancehall workout and the no nonsense four four analogue driven B2 builds and builds. Wicked stuff!" Chris Finke |

"Our favourite London techno-head returns with 4 cuts of futuristic` forward-looking tech pressure for the clubs and the headz` plus 4 lock grooves for those that like to rock it 'decks`fx' stylee. Kennedy lashes out against the glut of conformist` cookie-cutter techno with an EP of exquisitely crafted percussion` dark textures and disturbing synth manipulations. We approve!" NRG Music |

"Hard minimal warehouse techno with broken beats and rolling basslines. This one's perfect for making a dancefloor go mental!" Sonic Groove |

"More definitive future techno from Inigo Kennedy on his exemplary Asymetric imprint! Four tracks and four locked grooves of uncompromising, cerebral techno, all executed with the usual panache and creativity we've come to expect. Dark sonic textures and complex percussion patterns make this release a must for true techno conoisseurs everywhere." Bi-Wire |

"What’s better than a full King sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, a big glass of Milk, a widescreen TV, a big cup o vaseline, and a whole lot of porn? Well that would be our man Inigo Kennedy’s latest Asymmetric Release...5+5, 5x2, 100/10 = Ten Ten Ten.... Why yes nothing gets us off more than an Asymmetric release. Inigo unleashes the Power of Ten with 4 cuts of futuristic, forward-looking tech pressure for the clubs and the headz, plus 4 lock grooves for those that like to rock it 'decks,fx' stylee. Kennedy lashes out against the glut of conformist, cookie-cutter techno with an EP of exquisitely crafted percussion, dark textures and disturbing synth manipulations....Why yes, no electro slop in this one."
